Andrei Nastase attacks IRI, after publishing polls' result that PPDA won't get into Parliament
The leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party (PPDA), Andrei Nastase, launched an unprecedented attack on the International Republican Institute (IRI), after the institute’s polls showed that PPDA has no chances to get into Parliament and that the leader’s rating has halved, writes moldova.org.
Andrei Nastase stated during a TV show at Jurnal TV that the surveys presented by IRI have been influenced by the Democratic Party’s leader Vlad Plahotniuc. “Unfortunately, the polls in Moldova became to be used to influence the local public opinion and international decision makers. We must consolidate ourselves and find a way for polls to be made by honest people, by trusty sociological institutions, and not by those who are controlled for some reasons by the institutions of Plahotniuc” said Andrei Nastase.
The recent survey presented by the International Republican Institute, a remarkable US organization, shows that if elections are held next Sunday, the Dignity and Truth Platform will score only 4%, and will not reach the electoral threshold level. Moreover, the trust in the leader of PPDA is also decreasing. Thus, half a year ago Nastase had a rating of 12%, but now only 6% of the people surveyed stated they trust PPDA’s leader.
