Andri Cristea: Moldova should remain on the European orbit
Andri Cristea, MEP urges the European Union should act wise and responsible, in order to avoid polarization and not to export the political tensions from Chisinau to Brussels.
On a social media page, Cristea mentioned that Petras Austrevicius presented the good part of the things, while the group of the Socialists and Democrats within the European Parliament made amendments for Moldovans.
The Romanian MEP declared that the political affiliations should be forgotten and they should highlight the citizens' interests.
Otherwise, the new report regarding the implementation of the Association Agreement risks to be transformed in an election campaign of some Moldovan parties.
Thus, he asked the Foreign Policy Commission that the vote on this document be postponed until after our parliamentary elections.
The PPE group who supports PAS and PPDA voted against this initiative of Cristea.
