Andrian Candu and his counterparts from Georgia and Ukraine will perform a trilateral visit to USA
President of Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu, along with his counterparts from Georgia and Ukraine, will perform for the first time, a trilateral visit to USA, to request United State's full and active engagement in the region.
The three Presidents of the Parliament will speak of the security threats generated by the presence of Russian troops in the region, the hybrid war, human rights, energy security in Eastern Europe, as well as reforms implemented in Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine within the European integration of the three states.
The visit comes after the joint commitment to promote security and reform policies for the European integration of the three states from the Eastern Partnership, assumed at the Summit which took place in Chisinau on 2nd March and institutionalized in Kiev by creating the interparliamentary Assembly Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia.
The visit will include meeting with Paul Ryan, President of the United States House of Representatives, United States Congress, members of United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, United States Congress Friendship group with Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, as well as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, A. Wess Mitchell.
Public debates will also be held with experts and media of the Atlantic Council, National Press Club, Council on Foreign Relations.
The three Presidents of the Parliament are accompanied by Viktoras Pranckietis, President of Seimas and Adam Jerzy Bielan, deputy speaker of Senate of Poland.
