At the Parliament, Andrian Candu mentioned this voting modification as new chapter that only brings benefits.

"A new system, a mixed voting system, will be achieved in 2018, which means 50 per cent of MPs will be elected from party lists as recently and another 50 per cent of Parliament will be voted through uninominal constituencies, by people not only in the country and abroad but also in the eastern Moldova called Transnistria".

"Moldova is to enter a new development stage by a more qualitative and integral political class". 

The mixed voting system was adopted by Parliament with the vote of 74 deputies from 77 present in the hall.
