Paul Packer, the chairman of the US Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad gave Andrian Candu the cultural diversity award.
The award was given for his contribution in promoting the commemoration of the Holocaust, of the history truth and promoting the American heritage.
The award was given within the "Commemorating the Holocaust in the Republic of Moldova" conference that took pace today at the Parliament and was organized in partnership with the Jews community from Moldova and the Government of the country.
The commission for American Heritage Abroad was built by Ronald Reagan US President and targets to restore the monuments that are associated with the USA history. In the past years, the activity of the commission was focused on Eastern Europe objectives, that have been destroyed during the Holocaust.
