Andrian Candu: Republic of Moldova becomes stronger in its international relationship

Moldova becomes stronger in its international relations. The statement was made by the President of Parliament, Andrian Candu, at the spring balance sheet press conference.
According to the head of the Parliament, the Republic of Moldova is no longer weak or vulnerable, we have pragmatic external relations, based on respect and cooperation.
"We are stronger and thanks to our partners' support", said Andrian Candu.
At the same time, the President of the Parliament recalled the resolution in the US Congress, whereby the United States supports the territorial integrity and political sovereignty of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia, and reaffirms its support for democratically elected governments and the people of the three countries. He also referred to the creation of the parliamentary assemblies Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, which will meet in Georgia in the first session in September. Also in September, in Chisinau, the 11th session of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly will take place.
Referring to the energy security field, Andrian Candu mentioned that a number of actions have been carried out lately to make the Republic of Moldova energy-independent. He spoke about the two projects related to interconnection works for electricity in Romania and the Iasi-Unghei-Chisinau gas pipeline.
Andrian Candu stressed that currently over 65 percent of exports are in the European Union countries. The economy of our country is no longer dependent only on a market, dependent on political decisions. We have opened new outlets in the Middle East, the free trade agreement with China, the one with Turkey and the EU is already being completed.
