Andrian Candu to award distinctions of Moldova Parliament, for first time, on Independence day

On Independence Day, speaker Andrian Candu will hand over, for the first time, the awards of Moldova Parliament at a ceremony organized by the legislature.
Andrian Candu will honor the "Medal of Democracy" personalities with remarkable results in various fields of activity. Diplomas of honor and diplomas of degrees I, II and III will also be awarded.
The "Medal of Democracy" is given to contribute to the promotion of reforms, the defense of constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, the promotion of the traditions of parliamentarism, for special merits in the professional field, as well as for the dedication in special missions to ensure the country's security.
"Honorary Diploma" is awarded to promote the interests and image of the Republic of Moldova, national traditions and values, both in the country and abroad, for outstanding achievements in didactic and research activity, bilateral diplomatic relations and cooperation with the national parliaments of other states.
The "Diploma of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova" is awarded for a substantial contribution to the development of science, art, culture and sports, for active participation in the elaboration of state policies, for irreproachable activity within the central public administration authorities, for civic initiative and philanthropic actions, for remarkable successes in study and award prizes to international Olympics.
Parliament's awards have been established for the first time this year.
The official ceremony to hand over the distinctions of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017, starting at 12:00, at the National Art Museum.
