Another coronavirus-infected Ukrainian aboard Diamond Princess cruise ship
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has confirmed a new case of coronavirus infection. The patient is a member of the crew of the "Diamond Princess" cruise ship, which has been quarantined near Tokyo, announced the Ukrainian media.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, there are 25 Ukrainians who are all crew members on board.
The ship has 3,700 people, citizens of 56 countries of the world, including 2,700 passengers.
Halfway through a two-week quarantine, 66 more people aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Yokohama have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the tally to 136 with only a fraction of the passengers tested, Princess Cruise Lines said Monday.
The cruise ship has been quarantined at sea in the Japanese port of Yokohama since arriving there on Feb. 3, according to Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. All those infected with the newly identified virus have been brought ashore for treatment, while the other passengers remain confined to their rooms on board until the quarantine period ends.
