ANRE published new fuel prices and explained how they were calculated
National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) announced that between 13th June 2018 - 26th June 2018, the prices for fuel will be the following:
- 19,46 lei/liter for gasoline (including: 9,23 lei/liter according to the quotations, 3,76 lei/liter the excise quota, 3,25 lei/liter for specific trade margin and 3,25 lei/liter for VAT).
- 17,41 lei/liter for diesel (including: 9,50 lei/liter according to the quotations, 1,76 lei/liter the excise quota, 3,25 lei/liter the specific trade margin and 2,90 lei/liter for VAT).
In accordance with the Petroleum Products Market Law, retail prices for petrol and diesel are calculated on the basis of Platts average rates recalculated in Moldovan Lei, taking into consideration the official average currency exchange rate set by the National Bank of Moldova in relation to the dollar USA for the last 14 days.
During this period of time (29th May 2018 - 11th June 2018), Platts's average quotes increased by 8,74 USD per tonne for gasoline (+ 1.23%) and 6,74 USD per tonne for diesel (+1.02 %). The average currency exchange rate for the US dollar was of 16,9016 lei/USD, having increased by 0,3118 lei (+ 1,88%). Therefore, the increase in the average Platts quotations recalculated in Moldovan lei was of 0,34 lei/liter for gasoline and of 0,32 lei/liter for diesel including VAT.
Another component influencing the price, in the past two weeks, remained unchanged, being made out of 20% value added tax, excise rate of 3,76 lei/liter for gasoline and 1,76 lei/liter for diesel.
