Preservative Manufacturers Association has notified Moldovan National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) that a Ukrainian company exported to our country juices containing prohibited substances.
Moreover, this firm obtained several state auctions and delivered products to school, kindergartens and hospitals.
In the referral, Preservative Manufacturers Association mentioned an analysis published by a German institution which shows the juices of this Ukrainian firm contain maltose and isomaltose.
These substances indicate the presence of sugar substitutes, which is prohibited by law.
The analysis also shows that tomato juices have a high level of glucose and fructose.
The ANSA will investigate this case and examine the juices in the laboratory.
Further conclusions are to be made later.
