The National Agency for Food Safety takes measures to fight against swine fever in the south of the country.

The ANSA verifies Gagauzia and Taraclia districts, where there were revealed two hotbeds, recently. 

After the CRDV confirmed the illness, the National Agency for Food Safety notified the structures within the EU, the World Organization of Animals' Health and foreign partners.

The investigation is ongoing and ANSA monitors the illness, to find out the reason why it appeared.

PUBLIKA.MD reminds that previously, Pavel Filip requested the responsible institutions to take measures to prevent the spreading of the swine fever in Moldova, inclusively through forbidding the import of meat.

The swine fever is a contagious illness, that affects the animals. The virus is dangerous only for animals and doesn't affect people.
