Prosecutors demand the institution's director to suspend the doctor, who was arrested last week by National Anticorruption Center and anticorruption prosecutors. The man is suspected of having extorted 7 000 lei form a terminal ill patient.

Prosecutors demand for the doctor to be suspended, until the case is not solved and a final decision taken.

 

In their request, prosecutors claim that the suspension is necessary for a better investigation and can be considered as protection for the institution's interests.

 

Suspension is also conditional in such crimes, as well as a measure taken to ensure that the suspect has been prevented from committing any such acts.
