Starting April 1 pensions will rise by 6.6%. The growth is foreseen in a project of Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection and is available for public debated. The document will following be approved by the Government.

On average, the pensions might grow by 96 lei for 532 000 people and disability pensions by 76 lei.

At the same time, survivors' pensions will increase by 50 lei and by 200 lei for Chernobyl liquidators. The pensions are calculated based on the inflation rate from the previous year. State budget will allocate for this aim 553 million lei.
