Around 33,000 children benefited from Child Phone service in last five years
Over 5 years of work, about 33,000 children received counseling at the Child Phone service. Among the problems addressed by the children to the specialists are: poor communication with parents or close relatives, problems of school or confidence, lack of communication and feeling of loneliness, emotional problems, sexuality issues, violence, neglect, exploitation or child trafficking.
Adults also benefited from this service with information about: alternative protection services, how to obtain material help, children's rights and parents' obligations towards children, etc.
"Our goal is that all children in the Republic of Moldova should know about this issue, call and talk about the problems they are facing, inform about their rights and the ways in which they can be defended. And we, the specialists in the field, intervene on time to prevent the crisis situations in which children are involved, "said State Secretary for Social Assistance, Viorica Dumbrăveanu.
