Starting November 1, it is mandatory for drivers to start using the headlights during the day. National Patrol Inspectorate reminds that this law is in force until March 31st.
The Conventional Code doesn't fine drivers who don't turn on headlights, but they will be pulled over and warned by officers.
Instead, drivers will receive a one thousand lei fine if they will be found not using winter tires, when the roads will be covered in snow or frost. Those measures are valid during cold season, when weather becomes more unpredictable, with rain and fog that reduces visibility in traffic and the chances of an accident are higher.
