August scorching weather, again, cause of death in Iasi
A man died shortly after he was brought to the hospital in Iasi, while another man was in found in a field in a state a deep coma and having a 42 degrees Celsius fever.
The UPU-SMURD coordinator in Iasi, Diana Cimpoesu, said that both men were brought to hospital after having suffered from heat and long exposure to the sun.

"The patient is in a deep coma. He was brought to us with hyperthermia".

Another patient who suffered from the heat died shortly after being brought to the same medical unit. A 45-year-old man from Valea Satului village fainted and was found by some fellow-villagers.
"He was in a coma and had prolonged convulsions." An ambulance crew passing through the area picked up the man who was intubated on the way, and he also had a fever of 42 degrees Celsius.
