Arrested people suffering from mental illnesses will be placed in a special section made especially for them.  The suggestion came forth after the case of Andrei Brăguța, who suffered from mental disorder and deceased in prison.

In order to bring the idea to life a group was formed from representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Department of Penitentiary Institutions, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health.

They wish for this section to be under the jurisdiction of the Psychiatric Hospital from Chişinău.

The building of the new section will cost four million lei.
