Over 20 families from Bălți found themselves with flooded apartments, after a hot water pipe burst.

People claim that steam rose from the cracks, while the walls and floors became hot. Moreover, from the taps meant for cold weather, warm water poured out:

"It is impossible to stay in the apartment. We have stored goods in the basement!"

"We all live on the first floor, all have small children. Everyone repaired their apartments and woke up with steaming water in the toilet."

"It is impossible to stand the smell. We opened all windows and closed the door leading to a room where a 1 year and 9 months old child stays. We woke up in the morning to hot floors."

People claim that they have stored vegetables, fruits and canned food in the basement, which was all lost due to the flooding:

"We stored there goods that we had no place for in the apartment. Now the basement is flooded, everything was spoiled."

Heat supplier assured that the issue will be dealt with by the end of the day.

"It is a leak. We have not found its location yet, as it is underground. We are digging for the pipes at the moment" head of network management SA Cet-Nord, Andrei Pascari explained.

Enterprise Cet-Nord is heating over 770 apartment blocks from the city.
