Moldovan-Belarusian relations are marked by friendship and concrete projects, based on trust and mutual respect. Prime Minister Pavel Filip met with Serbian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas today. "It is best when you come up with concrete results. We arrived in Minsk with the direct route Chisinau-Minsk, we enjoy the Belarusian trolleybuses assembled in Chisinau, we use for the benefit of the people the Belarusian mobile mammography and radiography mobile devices that were previously delivered. All these are the concrete results of bilateral cooperation", said Pavel Filip.
For his part, the Belarusian prime minister said that bilateral relations are at such a level, also due to the personal contribution of the Chief Executive of Chisinau: "Lately, bilateral relations have become particularly tight, which shows mutual interest and desire to achieve joint projects". A proof of close cooperation between our countries is the Belarusian decision to donate a mobile radiography installation to the Republic of Moldova. This will reach Chisinau by the end of November.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip and his Belarusian counterpart Sergei Rumas reviewed the main joint projects, progress and sectors, where further efforts are needed.
The parties agreed to continue the assembly of trolleybuses in Chisinau so that in the next two years, all 100 remaining old trolley buses will be changed. The Development Bank of Minsk has offered to credit this project. At the same time, our country is also interested in launching jointly with the Belarusian side of electric buses.
Another field of mutual interest is pharmaceutical. Currently, several Belarusian drugs are registered in the Republic of Moldova, which are of high quality and at an affordable price. Our country wants to take over the experience of Belarus in the livestock sector as well. The Parties examine the possibility of building a modern zootechnical complex in the Republic of Moldova, and the place for the realization of this project was identified.
At the end of the meeting, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of education was signed between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of Belarus, which also includes the awarding of scholarships to Moldovan students, as well as the cooperation in the field of primary, university and research education.
