Best students from Ialoveni awarded within 2018 Laureates' Gala

The best pupils and teachers from Ialoveni district were awarded today within the 2018 edition of the Laureates' Gala. The event took place at the Cultural Center of Ialoveni. The Minister of Education, Culture and Research Monica Babuc, Lilian Caramanu, mayors, directors of educational institutions, teachers, parents and pupils attended the event.
Minister Monica Babuc mentioned that the Laureates' Gala is meant to appreciate both the students who have achieved remarkable results at the district and republican olympiads and competitions as well as the teachers who contributed to their preparation. At the same time, the official said that the most important resource of our country is the human one and urged the prize-winners to persevere and continue their studies at home.
In the school year 2017-2018, pupils from the Ialoveni district obtained 12 seats in the Republican School Olympiads. On this occasion, the Ialoveni District Council (CRI) awarded each student and teacher a prize worth MDL 500. Prizes were also awarded to pupils and teachers who ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the district school Olympiads, in various study subjects, a total of 198 pupils and 198 teachers.
At the same time, CRI has awarded 51 scholarships (200 lei a month) to pupils who during the course of the school year have achieved outstanding results in education, have been actively involved in various extracurricular activities in national and international projects.
The awarded students and teachers are from "Petre Ştefănuc" Theoretical High School and "Andrei Vartic" Theoretical High School from Ialoveni, "Aurel David" Theoretical High School from Bardar village, "Ion Pelivan" Theoretical High School from Răzeni village, "Olimpic" from Costeşti village, "Dimitrie Cantemir" High School from Văsieni village, "Moleşti" Theoretical High School, etc.
During the event, the winners of the "Pedagogue of the Year" Contest, 2018 edition, were named. Thus, Tatiana Plăcintă from "Grigore Vieru" Gymnasium from Ialoveni became the winner of the "Teacher" category, and Natalia Lungu from the Kindergarten in the village of Malcoci - in the "Educator" category.
The Gala Laureates in Ialoveni district aims to appreciate the school, artistic and sports performance of students and teachers in national and international school and national competitions and competitions; supporting students; increasing the prestige of the pedagogical profession, as well as stimulating their creative activity.
