Better roads for drivers in 2017
The drivers will have more good roads to run on in 2017. The Transport Ministry plans to build 72 km of national-level roads and to repair 300 km of local roads.
1.4 bn lei will be earmarked for the Road Fund in this regard.
Projects started in 2016 will go on this year, as belt-roads will be repaired near Porumbeni, Bahmut, Orhei and Vulcăneşti.
"We plan to continue the rehabilitation of those 300 km with the funds from European Partners and to end the belt-road near Ungheni town till October," specified deputy minister of Transports Vitalia Rapcea.
After a series of road portions will be revamped, the drivers will be able to run at speeds of up 110 km/h.
PUBLIKA.MD reminder: About 200 km of roads were fixed last year. As the works stagnated on some portions, 8 executing companies will be sanctioned. The length of the national roads network is 10,000 km.
