The roofs of over 400 blocks of flats from Chisinau will be repaired by the end of the summer. The repair works will be evolved at the places where there the requests come from.

According to the Housing and Communal Directorate, the roofs of some blocks of flats are destroyed and the apartments are flooded. Valentina Ostahi lives on the top and faces many issues.

"We are flooded every time", said Valentina Ostachi, Capital resident.

The retires says that she risked to die one day because of a short circuit.

The residents of the Capital say that their flats are full of mold.

"It is very dangerous. Our children were scared when it was raining last time", said Olimpiada Ungureanu.

The representatives of the company that manages the block of flats say that the repair works will start the next week.

"We think that the work will start the next week", said Mina Doschinescu, the manager of the Housing and Communal Directorate.

Totally, over 40 thousands square meters of roof will be repaired by the end of the summer.

"In 2018 we plan to repair 312 blocks of flats managed by the Housing and Communal Directorate."

The repair works costed over one million lei.
