Throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova, for an indefinite period, the low level (blue code) of terrorist alert was established.
Thus, the authorities will undertake a series of measures: the accumulation and verification of information and data on terrorist risks, the conduct of prophylactic, awareness-raising and public opinion training activities to promote state policy on preventing and combating terrorism, and about rules of behavior in terrorist situations.
At the same time, the establishment of the blue code, the low level of terrorist alert, also provides a number of recommendations for the population. Citizens are urged take caution and draw attention to the appearance and behavior of people who seem suspicious.
Another warning refers to abandoned cars, those without registration numbers, overloaded luggage, long and unwarranted parking in the yard of residential areas, near high-agglomeration targets, as well as bags, backpacks left unattended, boxes showing electric wires , mechanical devices. When detecting such objects, citizens are encouraged to avoid proximity, touching, unpacking, or moving from them and immediately informing law enforcement authorities.
According to the SIS, the National Terrorist Alert System (SNAT) is a mechanism to alert and inform the population of potential terrorist hazards, to organize and coordinate actions to prevent and deter terrorism, depending on the degree of security situation in the country.
SNAT consists of 4 levels, distinguished by 4 codes, reflecting the degree of risk depending on the intensity of the terrorist threat: low level (blue color); moderate level (yellow color); high level (orange color) and critical level (red color).
