Brad Freden, the official director for Eastern Europe Affairs of the USA State Department held a meeting with the leaders of ACUM, Andrei Nastase and Maia Sandu. After the discussion, the American official declared:

"It is very interesting to be here today. I have planned this trip three weeks ago. Indeed, we monitor the political situation of the Republic of Moldova and I can definitely say that timing the politics here is not in our interests. We are ready to cooperate with whatever Government they will chose", declared Brad Freden.
