Building of Hancesti morgue hasn't been repaired for decades. What problems does it face
The building of Hancesti morgue is in a deplorable condition as it haven't been repaired for years. The walls of the building is covered by cracks, the radiators are rusty and the plaster is about to fall. The building also doesn't have an AC system and in the halls it is almost impossible to breath.
"The conditions are terrible. When you pass near by you can feel a terrible smell", said a man.
"The conditions of work are terrible. We don't have enough workers. The building is too small and the temperature inside doesn't fit the norms", said Valeriu Palade, the chief of pathomorphologic section.
Lidia Cucerescu works here for more than two decades as a nurse. The woman says that the building is falling from year to year.
"The doors are old, the plaster is falling. We are doing the current repair works. The hospital can't continue to work this way", said Petru Cebotaru, the director of Hancesti district hospital.
The local authorities promise that the situation will change. We will start to build a new building. The project is worth 19 million lei.
"Cluj District Council offered us 350 thousand Euro. CNAM allocated one million lei and the 150 thousand lei were allocated by the district council from Moldova", sad Ghenadie Buza, the Hancesti District President.
Even if we need 10 million lei, the president of Hancesti district says that the work will start in a week. The local authorities hope that they will find money to start the works.
"We are planning to have a beautiful cooperation", said Ghenadie Buza, the President of Hancesti district.
The new morgue will fit the European standards and will be finished by the end of 2020.
