The Government has endorsed the creation of a consulting board for small and medium-sized companies (SMSC.) The new entity will be subordinated to the Economy Ministry and will be as a platform for entrepreneurs interacting with authorities and for launching developing programs within the sector.

Representatives of the business community and of the civil society will be members of the board, which will consider improvements to the laws dealing with entrepreneurs.

97 % of the Moldovan companies are small and medium-sized with a contribution of 32 % to the Gross Domestic Product.

About 56 % of employees work in such firms.
