Cancelled court hearing: Ilan Sor was supposed to come at court in Cahul
Just a few days before the Parliamentary elections, politicians compete in electoral promises. Ilan Sor, the suspended mayor of Orhei and leader of the Sor party, says he will raise pensions and cancel taxes for the elderly.
"We want to quickly cancel all the taxes the retirees pay. We will ensure that prices for services and commodities are reduced by up to 30 percent. We guarantee a minimum pension of about 80 per cent of the country's minimum wage, around fifteen thousand lei", said Ilan Shor, President of the Sor Party.
At the beginning of the week, the presentation of the 11 candidates of the Sor party for the constituencies in Chisinau, the leader of the party promised that if they win the elections, the Capital will look like Paris. Moreover, he said that Chisinau will have a modern infrastructure and a fun park named "Moldova Land", according to the Orhei model, where everything will be for free. Ilan Sor claims that all will be made from the taxes paid by the inhabitants of Chisinau municipality, which will no longer be transferred to the state budget.
Ilan Sor had to be present today at a court hearing at the Cahul Court of Appeal. However, the hearing was postponed to April 3 because lawyers lacked, but also because some of the materials in the file were not finalized.

Ilan Shor was sentenced in June 2016, seven years and six months in a semi-closed penitentiary for scam and money laundering, in one of the files for the disappearance of money from the Bank Savings Bank, Social Bank and Unibank.
Since February last year, his file has been transferred to Court of Appeal from Cahul.
