Cancer diagnoses, established more accurately at Chisinau institute

Cancer is identified faster and more accurately at the Chisinau Oncological Institute, after cutting-edge equipment was installed a year ago.
Now the doctors can recommend more efficient treatment.
The procedure was hard to perform till 2015. The biologic material was stored in wooden containers made by lab workers and processed manually.
Over 20,000 investigations have been performed this year, using the new devices, purchased in a project funded by the Japanese Government.
There were over 51,000 Moldovans diagnosed with cancer in 2015, as about 6,000 died the same year.
