The Balti election candidates started to apply their files for the mayor elections. Till now, only the representative of PDA, Arina Spataru applied the documents to CEC.

"Starting April 5, between 9 am and 5 pm will take place the candidates can apply for the mayor office of Balti", said Iulian Paciurea, the deputy president of Balti CEC.

The acts will be received till April 19. Two of the parties announced their candidates for the local elections from May 20.

Balti doesn't have a mayor, after the penal fugitive Renato Usatii resigned.  Usatii's decision came up after the trash crisis from Balti.
