Candu replied to rumors regarding the date of Parliamentary elections
Andrian Candu presented the sheet of the spring session of the Parliament and counted the most important achievements. After being asked to comment on the speculation on the date of the next parliamentary elections, Andrian Candu said:
"It is clear that we can't organize the elections between December 20 and January 15, because the winter holidays take place during this period. Moreover, if we decided to organize the elections at the beginning of December, then we would have had only three months to prepare, which is not enough. Nastase would have said that we didn't offer them enouth time to prepare. This is why we want everybody to be prepared.
PDM is ready to participate even tomorrow, because we are like soldiers, we are always prepared. The other parties are not prepared yet.
This is why CEC thinks that we need a period to inform the citizens about the elections. We need time. This is why it is not possible to organize the elections in December. It is not good to make the election campaign during the winter holidays.
What about the reforms, of course PDM wants their reforms to bring results. It is not strange that some of the parties still want to be at the Governance. These elections should be transparent", said Andrian Candu, the President of the Parliament.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the deputies decided to organize the elections on February 24. The decision was taken within the last session of the parliament.
