Careful Grandparents - volunteers at summer camps from Moldova
The pupils are in a vacation now, but the Careful Grandparents are not. During the summer, they are volunteers at the summer camps. Even if it is not an easy activity, they say that this is a pleasure for them to do it.
At the summer camp from Saharna village, Rezina district, seven grandparents work. During the day, they help the tutors.
Their efforts are appreciated by the tutors who say that it would have been harder without them.
"I am glad that they accepted to come here", said Tamara Peru, superior tutor.
The grandparents say that they receive a lot of good energy from the children.
"It is a pleasure for us to be involved in such activities", said Mihail Cebotari, the president of Careful Grandparents Association from Rezina.
The ones who implemented this project in the district are proud of the results.
"The Careful Grandparents Association from Rezina district has 44 grandparents who are very active", said Igor Botea, the chief of the Rezina Police Inspectorate.
The most active grandparents received awards.
The number of the people involved in this project is higher than the expectations of the ones who initiated it.
"I am very happy. We were expecting for a smaller number", said Gheorghe Cavcaliuc, the deputy chief of the General Police Inspectorate.
Over 1500 grandparents are involved in Careful Grandparents project.
