The case from Romania, is actually a complaint made by Platon and guided by FSB. The reason for it, most likely, is due to the fact that Russia is angry with Moldova's Government, after they have published the fraud scheme through which Russia lost 22 billion US dollars. Declared president of PDM, Vlad Plahotniuc in an interview for Ziarul Naţional.

"This case everyone speaks of is actually, a complained written by Platon on behalf of FSB. Apparently they are mad that the Government from Chisinau and myself for revealing the 22 billion US dollar fraud and Russia begun investigating it, making it public knowledge afterward. Even if this process, this complaint made by Platon, written on the order of FSB, institutions from Romania have to accept and verify it, as stated by law. This is the only explanation for such actions" Vlad Plahotniuc explained.

According to Plahotniuc, many mass media have rushed to post the news that he was criminally investigated, despite the official statement from Romania.

  "It was fake news, an ordinary manipulation, which unfortunately shows how independent is the so-called free press in Moldova and how the press rushed to transmit its interpretations and conclusions," Vlad Plahotniuc said.

Regarding the allegations of assassination attempt by Gherman Gorbuntov, PDM president said that Chisinau prosecutors proved that Renato Usatîi paid Vitalie Proca to file false testimony.

"As far as I know, there's a criminal case that the individual protected by Federal Security Service (FSB) and suspected of organizing Gorbuntov's attempted murder, tried to pay Proca to make these accusations, so the file was before that interview. This file shows clearly the reality, the dirty scenarios behind that interview. 

"The credibility of those allegations is zero. The murderer just woke up and 'revealed' different stories after years? His purpose was so evident. Let's be serious. A trustworthy person would know that was a false statement. That convict was simply a bullhorn of other underworld leaders who stayed in freedom, was in FSB service which controlled some media and opposition parties in Moldova. 

"That criminal is not the first and the last idiot used by people who want to fancy justice in order to escape penal punishment,"said Vlad Plahotniuc.

PDM chairman says "the lack of other attacks on PDM and government" has led opposition leaders "to build these forgeries a year before the election, but the attempt to assassinate media has failed."

"People have enough time to see and understand what is behind them. On the other hand, it is bad that public opinion is forced to attend these shows of criminals promoted by media outlets. In the case of the failed attempted assassination of Gorbuntov, I'm sure he has also failed to mediate me and PDM, "Vlad Plahotniuc said.
