CEC: All polling stations run smoothly

The Central Election Commission informs that all polling stations across the country have been open and operating as normal. Over 44 thousand voter managed to hit the polls in the early morning.
Given the time differences and time zones, of the 100 polling stations abroad, announce that up to 8.00, were opened 37 polling stations, the first being:
- Tokyo (Japan);
- Beijing (China);
- Krasnoyarsk (Russian Federation);
- Nizhnevartovsk (Russian Federation);
- Baku (Azerbaijan).
46 electoral offices started working at 08:00. The other stations will be open during the following hours- the local time of the respective countries.
Over 2.808.880 million citizens eligible to vote are expected to cast ballots. Most voters are expected to vote in Chisinau and the fewest in Basarabeasca town.
The vote today is monitored by 4,000 observers accredited by the CEC.
The first preliminary data on the results will be presented to 22.00, local time.
