Igor Dodon won the election, making it the country's third president, elected directly by the people.
The Central Election Commission has confirmed the PSRM candidate was confirmed as president-elect of the Republic of Moldova.
According to CEC data, Dodon garnered 52.27% of votes.
His opponent, the PAS candidate, Maia Sandu won 47.73% of votes.
