Promo-LEX Association presented its second monitoring report on the February 24th parliamentary elections, in which it provided data on electoral campaign activities by rival competitors.

CEC member Iurie Ciocan didn't like it and said that the accredited observers should not publish commentaries on electoral processes. 

At the Central Electoral Commission meeting, Iurie Ciocan said the Promo-LEX reports are inappropriate for voters. He urged the chair of the institution, Alina Russu, to summon the association's leadership to provide explanations.

"I have been looking for international election observation standards, I have never found any norms on interim reports, and no mission in the Republic of Moldova, accredited, national or international, is doing so, I consider these reports an interference in the electoral process and the inappropriate influence of the voters and the general election organization", commented Iurie Ciocan, CEC member. 

CEC President Alina Russu said the members of the Commission will meet and analyze the subject. 

"It has to be analyzed, studied, and we will have a very positive position regarding the activity of electoral bodies starting with the Central Electoral Commission and the District Electoral Councils," said Alina Russu, the president of the CEC.

In his report, Promo-Lex presented data on the distribution of informative leaflets by electoral contestants, as well as information on voter meetings.
