Feast for the military from Cahul. The motorized infantry brigade "Dacia" celebrated its 27th birthday. On this occasion, the military prepared an exceptional show with armament handling, melee battles, and songs.

Militars have demonstrated their level of preparedness by simulating an operation to release hostages and evacuate the wounded. 

The event took place under the care of the relatives who came to support the soldiers: 

"Son, I'm good to see him, very proud, looking for honor to his parents, nice to the citizens". 

"I have the nora doing the military service here in this battalion, the Dacia number three and the son. Today she received a congratulation from the commander and I want to congratulate her on her, not to be proud because we were here alone. My husband was a military for 30 years here".

Visitors have admired the military technique and have tasted the local food: 

"This is a Romanian AKM with wooden handle. Its components are pipe, gas tube, charger port, here is the weapon mechanism".

"First time, but it's very tasty, good".

"I have not ate soldats' food before, but I like it very much, it is very good. It is the first time I try this".

Militars say they are proud to be part of this unit:

"For us, the southern militaries of the Dacia Brigade, this event that we celebrate today is a sign of tribute to those who were at the foundation of this unit".

"I chose to do the army because my bun is a military. I was impressed by punctuality, the execution of the orders, precisely the strictness and order that is here.

"I'm very proud to do the job in the given brigade. The army gives you a lot to become a man".

Defense Minister says that several reforms have been implemented in this military brigade, including the shift to military service by contract, and major investments are being made to modernize the unit. 

"Here we made the first investments in infrastructure, here we changed the training system. You saw these young boys who are 6 or 7 months ago in the National Army a good part of them already signed the contract and went to work contract", said Eugen Sturza, Defense Minister. 

The Dacia Motorized Infantry Brigade in Cahul was created on February 24, 1992, by the head of state decree.
