Center of Touristic Information was inaugurated in Chisinau
Premiere in our country. In Chisinau there was inaugurated a Center for Touristic Information. All the visitors can organize their own tour in Republic of Moldova, starting with the events and continuing with the hotels and the wine tours. The foreign tourists are glad about the opening of this center.
The Center of Touristic Information is situated in the center of Chisinau, on the other side of the City Hall. Here, the tourists can make virtual tours to some location, due to the modern technologies. The first visitors are impressed.
”Surfing on this application we can find a lot of information about the wineries”, said Natalia Turcanu, the executive director of ANTRIM.
The spokesmen of the tourism agencies will collaborate with this center, to help the tourist to have a perfect vacation.
”We want our guides to volunteer here, to develop the center faster”, said Nina Belei, the President of the Association of the Guides from Moldova.
A similar center was opened a half year ago in Tiraspol.
”We had already have over 7 500 of foreign tourists. We offer information about the tourism agencies from Chisinau, about wineries and others”, said Tatiana Yasikova.
The authorities say the tourism sphere started to be developed in the past years, due to the implementation in this area.
”Soon we will have a new law according to the tourism, that will bring a new, clear orientation. We are sure that due to it we will attract investments”, said Vitalia Iurcu, the Vice Deputy of Economy.
The project costed up to 1,5 million lei, 235 of which were offered by the European Union and 1,3 by USAID and the Sweden Government.
”With the Government of Republic of Moldova we managed to achieve big results. Today, Moldova can be found in the list of the recommended destinations to travel to”, said James D. Pettit, the USA ambassador to Moldova.
”We are very glad about this center and all the actions that will be implemented”, said Marco Gemmer, the chief of the EU's delegation in Moldova.
The Moldovans say such a center is necessary for our country.
''It is a very clever center. You shouldn't search for information in different places.''
Last year, 3,2 million tourists visited our country, 20% more than in 2015.
