Capriana monastery's yard was very crowded today. Thousands of worshipers came from all over the country to attend the canonization of Metropolitan Banulescu Bodoni, organized for the first time in our country.

Some believers came a few hours before the start of the liturgy, to be sure they find the best place to follow it.

"Moldova has a saint. Pray to Him, for he will pray for our country, Moldova. Strengthen your faith. Be our rescue. We are pleased that our Moldova has a saint."

"I came with a great love for God, for our people. Today is a very important event for Christians who worship God."

"It is a great event for our Moldova today. We must by all means participate."

The ceremony was attended by several politicians and Democratic Party of Moldova leader, Marian Lupu, who announced that the party he leads has made a donation to the monastery.

"It is an exclusive event. It's a celebration for Moldovan orthodoxy. We wanted to participate in the organization of this event, all together with colleagues from the Democratic Party, because it was a requirement of the soul, if you like, we organized a support for today's event" , said chairman of the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu.

On September 24th, Blessed Agaphia from Cuşelăuca village will be canonized.
