Chaos during council meeting. Chisinau lost millions of lei
A street from the Capital might be left unpaired, while works for renovating a water purification plan from the Capital were stopped. This is all due to local authorities, who cannot all gather in a meeting to discuss the problem. Even today, once again, authorities decided to quarrel, in place of solving the Capital's issues.
"We cannot understand where all money went, why we need supplementary financing, three million euro" adviser of the Socialist Party, Ion Ceban declared.
"I do not understand how they all could take a 10 o'clock meeting and do it at 8 o'clock when the topic worked in their favor, but now, nobody has the time of the day" adviser of the Liberal Party stated.
"We need to have a meeting, in order to discuss this issue" adviser of Democratic Party, Liviu Oboroc urged.
The Council meeting was postponed for the next week, because the Socialist Party left. The matter which provoked the conflict was Nistor Grozavu request to sign two agreements for European funding of 3 million euro for repair works on three streets and 11 million euro for renovating a water purification plant from the Capital.
"In best case scenario, in place of three streets we will now be able to repair two" Grozavu declared.
Chief of Apă-Canal Chişinău ("Water canal Chisinau"), Veronica Herţa, declared that each lost day costs one thousand euro.
"There is a risk that the water used near the water purification plant by the farmer, will end up on the tables of the citizens, including those who refused to not vote for this project" Herţa added.
The next council meeting will take place on September 12.
