Great cherry harvest in Rusestii Noi, Ialoveni. Women from the village came to the festival with a lost of tasty food.

Ileana Carlan says she participates at the event every year. This time, her nephews helped her.

"I made the dough and my nephews helped me to put the cherries on it", said Ileana Carlan.

Other women prepared cherry pies, sweets and other delicious food. 

"I prepared a cherry pie. I also prepared cherry jam."

People who came at the festival enjoyed the beautiful weather and bought fruits and pies.

"I am glad I came at the festival, it is a great atmosphere here."

"We have a lot of cherry orchards. Each person has a cherry tree in their house", said Pavel Codreanu, the mayor of Rusestii Noi.

"The festival shows our tradition", said Monica Babuc, the minister of Education, Culture and Search.

A kilo of cherries and a pie costed 20 lei.
