Chief of the Southern Regional Directorate of the Border Police was involved last night in a road accident. While driving the service car, he tried to overtake another vehicle and caught a biker with the wing mirror.

The incident took place between Congaz and Chirsova districts.

A team from the National Patrol Inspectorate was dispatched to the site and established that the man was not wearing a helmet and didn't posses a driving license fitting for a motorcycle.

According to the police, the Chief of Border Police was the one to cause the accident.

The breath test has shown that both were sober.

Border Police opened case to investigate the incident.
