Chiril Gaburici: I still want an effective collaboration with Germany

Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, met today with the new Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in our country, Angela Ganninger. Officials discussed economic relations between the two countries, increased bilateral cooperation and supporting sustainable economic development.
Chiril Gaburici appreciated the permanent support granted by the German Federal Republic to the country for the development of the economy of the Republic of Moldova, shaping the processes necessary for economic reforms, as well as attracting German investors to the national economy. In this context, the Minister wished the German Ambassador to fulfill his mandate, highlighting the interest of the Republic of Moldova in identifying new sectors of cooperation, as well as strengthening existing partnerships.
"The development of sustainable relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Federal Republic of Germany is a priority for the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. We welcome the decision of the German authorities to keep our country on the list of beneficiary countries of assistance provided by the German Government through the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development", said Minister Chiril Gaburici.
The new German Ambassador, Angela Ganninger, said that Germany is pleading for the continuation and strengthening of trade with the Republic of Moldova.
At present, 427 German-owned enterprises operate in the Republic of Moldova, with investments totaling 691,458 million. lei. According to the number of enterprises and the volume of capital invested, the Federal Republic of Germany ranks 6th among the main investors of the Republic of Moldova.
