Chiril Gaburici: We count on including our country on Romania touristic road map

Today, the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Mr. Chiril Gaburici, held a series of meetings with members of the Cabinet of Ministers in Romania, including the Minister of Communications and Information Society, Petru Bogdan Cojocaru, Tourism Minister Bogdan Gheorghe Trif, Minister for the Business Environment, Trade and Entrepreneurship, Ştefan-Radu Oprea and Economy Minister Dănuţ Andruşcă. Within the discussions, the officials addressed aspects of the bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and Romania in the fields of economy and trade, tourism, telecommunications and IT. The meetings took place in the context of the visit of the Moldovan delegation to Romania.
Petru Bogdan Cojocaru appreciated the successes of the Republic of Moldova in the field of communications and information technology and mentioned the necessity to intensify the bilateral relations, which further strengthened the bilateral relations between the two states.
Officials approached topics on the possibility of reducing roaming charges, enhancing cyber security, joint legislative transfer projects, and the possibility of creating jobs in the digital industry.
Also, Chiril Gaburici discussed with Tourism Minister, Bogdan Gheorghe Trif about the facilitation of tourism conditions, as well as the possibility of implementing common tourism routes: "We want a competitive and sustainable tourism sector, which will be a generator of growth and employment. We want to bring money into the country, we see the huge potential of this sector. At the same time, we are counting on the inclusion of our country in the tourist routes of Romania, in order to bring the tourists who come to visit the neighboring country, to discover beautiful and the picturesque places from us. The first touristic route discussed is "Stefan cel Mare", but we also work on the Wine Route. We also want to introduce the Republic of Moldova on the digital map of the tourist routes in Romania, which is in the process of elaboration. "
At the same time, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, had a meeting today with his Romanian colleague, Danuţ Andruşcă, in the context of joint energy and cross-border infrastructure projects. In the context, Chiril Gaburici appreciated the Moldovan-Romanian collaboration in ascending order on various projects, especially regarding the construction of the Ungheni-Chisinau gas pipeline, a contract signed recently in Chisinau.
The joint projects to stimulate investment in the region have been discussed with Minister of Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Ştefan-Radu Oprea.
"I want to reiterate the importance of joint investment projects. I note with appreciation that Romania remains the main trading partner of the Republic of Moldova, which is why I thank the Romanian state and the people, "pointed out Chiril Gaburici.
