Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici had a meeting with representatives of OMV Romania, which produces and sells oil and gas, innovative energy sources and high-quality petrochemical solutions.
The representatives of the company showed interest in the supply and distribution of natural gas on the market of energy resources in the Republic of Moldova, analyzing the availability and opening of the local suppliers.
"There is no market that we can copy, you have to be active and competitive. We want to offer consumers in Moldova a convenient gas price. A new source will give our country the opportunity to have more energy independence, so we are open to any proposal", said Minister Chiril Gaburici.
During the talks, Chiril Gaburici also mentioned the importance of identifying companies that will come to the consumers and install the gas cylinder, thus checking its technical state.
"Now we are working on a legal framework that will allow the use of gas cylinders only, which have passed the technical verification, and we are open to any offer coming from companies that have the right to bottled and sold liquefied petroleum gas for household use", said the Minister.
