Some members of bloc ACUM changed radical opinions towards the Democratic Party. Previously they stated clearly they didn't share the same view with PDM, but now they are craving the mayors of the opposition party.

PPDA MP Chiril Moţpan said he would welcome Democrats to the party. The statements were made while PDM leader Pavel Filip disclosed their party members were intimidated and blackmailed to leave the group in favor of the bloc ACUM. 

"I would discuss with any PDM mayor if I was sure they want to integrate. I didn't propose any illegal activities. I think as a citizen, I have the right to talk to anyone and tell them my opinion", Moţpan said. 

However, Chiril Moţpan revealed that members of bloc ACUM were, in fact, intimidated by PDM mayors and not vice versa. 

He brought to the Parliament a former candidate of the PAS and PPDA for the local elections in the village of Feşteliţa in Stefan Voda, Alexandru Cernean. Cernean accused Democrat Nicolae Tuderean, who defeated him in the first round, of restricting his access to the Culture House in the locality.

"I have been in a conflict with the Feşteliţa mayor for one and a half years. We can't enter the Culture House stage within this year", said Cernea.

When asked by Publika TV, the Mayor Nicolae Tudorean denied the accusation. He explained a polling station was opened in front of the Culture House before the local elections, and the furniture in the room was moved to another hall. The problem will be resolved, the mayor said. 

The PDM Pavel Filip announced that the PDM members and candidates would have been threatened with fiscal checks, the dismissal of their job and business takeover if they had not quit the party and their candidacy in the local elections. 

Publika recalls that 191 PDM mayors were elected in the first round of the local elections, which constitutes over 20% of the number of mayors in Moldova. The bloc ACUM obtained 82 mayors after the first round.
