At the end of 2018, the construction of Chișinău – Strășeni – Călărași queduct will start. The works will start within "Developing water infrastructure in Moldova" project, that is financed by the German Federal Government, though the KFW Bank. In this sense, the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment convoked the first working group session, today.

The participants discussed about the feasibility study of the aqueduct that will be realized this summer.  

"There was created the group for implementing the project. Also, we managed to negotiate the contract. In the following period, the amendment to the contract for the elaboration of the Feasibility Study will be signed, which aims to coordinate the route of the aqueduct with the landowners intersected by the magistral aqueduct and obtaining the urbanism certificates, and the works will be started at the end of the year ", he stressed the head of Environmental Project Management Service, Ion Lică, at the meeting.

At the session participated the representatives of the public authorities of Straseni and Calarasi districts who said that a crisis might be provoked by the owners of the lands that will be crossed by the pipes. 

The cost of the first stage is 16,5 million euros. The money are offered as a grant for two years.

We mention that the central sewerage systems provide the access to quality public services. This is the target of National Strategy of Water Providing (2014-2028).
