Homeless people from Chisinau can be employed. Silvia Radu, the interim of the Capital announced that homeless can be employed within Green Spaces and Housing and Land Management directions. Thus, they will have a salary and the municipality will cover its lack of employees.

"These persons get three meals a day from the municipality. We want to offer them a job, so they will have a salary and won't freeze in the streets anymore. The jobs won't be available for the persons with disabilities, as those are not able to work", said Silvia Radu.

The news was a good one for homeless:

"I am looking for a job and I want to work. I want to get a job at a car wash."

"I lost my job. I was working at a Turkish restaurant, after that, I went to work in Transnistrian region and I got ill there."

The psychologist of the Center for the homeless says that more than a half of the persons who come at the center are able to work. 

"Many of them broom, clean the territory off snow and dirt. This helps them to maintain their working abilities", mentioned Marcela Diţa, psychologist at the Center for Homeless.

On the Center's territory there is a tent where the homeless receive food and hot drinks.

The Homeless Center from Chisinau has a capacity of 120 places.
