Chisinau City Hall will buy 20 new cars and 80 tools
The garage of the Housing and Communal Directorate from Chisinau is being modernized. This year, 20 new cars and 80 machines will be bought to make the work easier for the company's employees. The first vehicles will reach the end of April. First cars will come at the end of April.
New cars are needed, as some cars are almost half a century old.
"The oldest is since 1972, it works and is now on the line. It usually damages the brake system, It deteriorates the lighting system, it is already old, all the electrical connections, the engines are used, the metal is weak", said Vasile Efros, master.
Something newer are the cars which are involved in sanitation for the sidewalks, but they also give them big problems to the employees. Leonid Osadci drives the 14-year street automaton.
"It is defective, maybe it is once in the month, maybe twice in the month. If we work under the curbs, it is a lot and it works hard, if on the sidewalk, there are papers, cigarette butts", said Leonid Osadci, a driver.
Another vehicle, other problems. This tractor was bought in 2003.
"- Today breaks one, tomorrow another. November rather strive after work to stop looking after them, to May so we can go out and fix it the next day at work.
- Does it air conditioning?
- Conditioned, no, these coming out now I think they will be.
- Summer is like this?
- We have doors, windows, we open in the summer", said Vasile Zmeu, tractorist.
Last year, the Housing and Communica- tions Directorate bought cars worth almost 4 million and a half lei. Among them, this brush tractor, trailer, front loader and blade to clean the snow.
"This tractor is very comfortable. It's very comfortably to work with this technique. Air conditioning, a radio, here has a very convenient panel, very easy to handle", said Ilie Pascal, tractorist.
The chief of the Housing and Communal General Directorate says that in 2019 will be purchased 10 modern tractors, five minibuses and five dumpers. Moreover, 50 motocos, 10 saltpipes that will spread anti-drainage material and blowers will be bought.
"We will no longer use the usual brooms that are currently used in the city, but we have already signed a contract with an economic agent to deliver us 30 blower vacuums that are attached to the shoulder with a bag and with their help come to we sanitize the station, not the sweep among the people", said Ion Burdiumov, the head of the General Housing and Communal Development Department.
For the new acquisitions, almost 14 million lei were allocated from the City Hall budget.
