Chisinau City Hall's offers to investors regarding Capital's infrastructure enhancement
Chisinau City Hall is looking for investors to establish private public partnership and develop the capital, according to an announcement by Chisinau Interim Mayor Ruslan Codreanu in the Investment Forum held in Chisinau. The event attracted attention of entrepreneurs from various countries.
As the Municipality's proposal, 38 least-used buildings which will be transformed by investment into institutions for successful business.
Former TV plant is one of the building proposed by the Municipality. The building is over nine thousand square meters and has five floors. While the ground is used by a company, the rest is abandoned.
"We can develop it into industrial halls, business incubators or social sanatorium. We're willing to cooperate with any investors with good faith to develop business there, in the meantime, to enhance our infrastructure, create jobs and contribute tax", said Ruslan Codreanu.
Business people also expressed their interest to the offers.
"We don't have such favorable weather like in Moldova. We're moving to invest in food processing industry", said MINDAUGAS PAULIUKAS, businessman from Lithuania.
"We will do nothing rather than promote business community and to see if we can identify companies to invest in Moldova who will benefit from the administrational offers", said FLORENTIN TUŞ, President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania.
On the event second day, entrepreneurs will visit municipal enterprises. Statistics show that 65% of Moldova's business are developed in Chisinau.
