Chisinau Government encouraged by Western colleagues. Declaration of MEP Andi Cristea
Reforms undertaken in the Chisinau government have produced results. The declaration belonged to Romanian officials at the Inter-parliamentary Conference on security issues initiated by Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Romanian senator Titus Corlățean said that Moldova has witnessed economic growth and carried out a series of reforms which are enabled partly due to political stability.
"It is important for us to have a pro-European partner forwards and inclusively after election this year as the European project made by Moldova has to go on, so we hope that the next election will offer us a Government to direct further the EU pathway", said Romanian Senator Titus Corlățean.
In turn, MEP Andi Cristea said that the process of Moldova's integration into the European Union is just a matter of time.
"I am convinced that it is a matter of time until the talk upon the EU's enlargement to the East. It's essential that the Filip Government's seriousness has been confirmed by the Council's conclusions in early this week. It's also important that the next election will offer us a pro-European majority", said MEP Andi Cristea.
The Romanian officials expressed their conviction that the European path of Moldova will continue and wished their Democratic Party colleagues success in the new and parliamentary local elections.
